The Story:

Since learning about the Aron Kodesh in 4th grade, I was always fascinated by the clear dimensions and various models available. When I began playing around with CAD and 3D Printing, I realized that designing a model Aron would be a perfect project considering the dimensions are readily available. In addition, my first roll of PLA filament was a shiny gold look, and later on I also bought a roll of "Wood PLA" filament. I had both necessary colors to print an Aron, and I couldn't resist. When I initially designed it, I did not have a SOLIDWORKS license yet, so I was a little limited in my ability to design. I did my best to stay true to the ratios provided, but the Kappores (cover) design left what to be desired. Once I learned SOLIDWORKS, I remade the Kappores as seen below.
